Another self-exonerating shooting review

On Monday the biggest gang in Kern County announced another self-exoneration:

Subject: Officer Involved Shooting Review
Details: On Monday June 10th, 2013 the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Incident Review Board convened to consider the use of force by Deputy Ryan Pollack in relation to an officer involved shooting which occurred on Thursday May 16th, 2013. The review board consisted of Chief Deputy Francis Moore, Chief Deputy Brian Wheeler, Chief Deputy Shelly Castaneda, and Chief Deputy Kevin Zimmermann. After a review of all the facts in this case, the Incident Review Board determined that the use of force by Deputy Pollack was within Sheriff’s Office policy. ​

I'm not saying this shooting was unjustified. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. But there is zero credibility when you investigate & exonerate yourself.
